TreeFolks and the Lemon Lounge invite you to sway to the Songs for the Trees on Saturday, April 28. The evening will feature 7 local singer-songwriters performing original and cover songs with tree themes and lyrics. The Lemon Lounge, a pop-up music venue designed to showcase local artists, will host the event in their intimate spot next to the Wright Bros. Brew and Brew on East 5th and San Marcos Streets. Proceeds will benefit TreeFolks’ nonprofit community tree planting efforts in Central Texas and the Lemon Lounge’s critical venue space for local artists.
Artists include Shawnee Kilgore, Eric Gerber, Paper Moon Shiners, J Wagner, Lisa Kettyle, Thaïs Perkins, and Raina Rose, with more to be announced. Doors are at 6:00 PM and the songs start at 7:00 PM.
Local development firm Cypress Real Estate Advisors is sponsoring the event; their neighboring apartment complex, the Corazón, sits adjacent to the venue. Individual tickets are $25, which includes the show plus two drink tickets, with beverages provided by Austonian Whiskey and Moontower Cider.
